Meet Sara: The Calm Behind the Complexity

When people think about financial advice, they often picture the conversations, the strategies, and the big life decisions.

But behind every great client experience is a huge amount of work happening quietly in the background.

At Moore Financial Advice, that’s where Sara comes in.

As both Tim’s wife and the engine room of the business, Sara plays a crucial role in making sure everything runs smoothly—for both our clients and our team.

We thought it was time you got to know her a little better.

Q&A with Sara

What’s your role at Moore Financial Advice in a nutshell?
I look after the day-to-day operations of the business—everything from client administration and processes, through to making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes. If it keeps the business moving, there’s a good chance I’m involved in it!

How would you describe what you do to someone outside the industry?
I usually say I’m the organiser, the doer of all things. I make sure everything is where it needs to be, when it needs to be there. It might not always be visible, but it makes a big difference to how smoothly things run for our clients.

What does a typical day look like for you?
No two days are ever the same! It can be a mix of client work, managing workflows, handling paperwork, accounting/bookkeeping, coordinating with providers, and of course- keeping Tim on track. There’s always something happening, which I really enjoy.

How did you end up working in the business with Tim?
It evolved quite naturally. As the business started to grow faster than expected, it made sense for me to step in and help build the structure and processes around it. Before long, I was fully involved and there’s nowhere else I’d rather be.

What do you enjoy most about working in a family-run business?
The personal connections. We genuinely care about the people we work with, and I think our clients can feel that. It’s not just a job for us—it’s something we’re building together as a family.

What’s something you’re really proud of since starting the business?
I am really proud of the community we have built so far and are continuing to build. Getting to work with so many genuinely lovely people means it doesn’t even feel like I’m working. I feel so privileged to be part of this and to now be part of Tim and his clients’ relationships. It truly is very special.

What do you think makes a great client experience?
Clear and regular communication, consistency, and reassuring people that we’ve got everything under control so they can relax. Financial advice can feel overwhelming, so if we can make things simple and supportive, we have achieved what we set out to do.

What’s one thing clients might not realise you do behind the scenes?
Probably how much coordination goes into everything—liaising with providers, tracking progress, managing timelines. There’s a lot happening behind the scenes to make things feel easy on the client side.

Why is organisation so important in financial advice?
Because there are so many moving parts. Good organisation ensures nothing gets missed and everything happens when it should. It gives clients confidence that everything is under control.

What are some of the key things you manage behind the scenes?
Client onboarding, documentation, workflow management, provider follow-ups, and generally keeping everything structured and on track. In addition to these things, I also run the business side of things- website management, accounts and bookkeeping, marketing and compliance, just to name a few.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Spending time with family and friends. You can find me cheering from the sidelines of the cricket or soccer field depending which season it is. We also spend a lot of time fishing with our ten-year-old son who is a very keen angler. Life can get busy, so I really value that balance.

What’s a perfect weekend for you?
Something simple—good coffee, time with family, maybe getting out and about locally and of course cuddles with George our cavoodle.

Quickfire round…

  • Coffee or tea? → Coffee ☕
  • Early bird or night owl? → Pre motherhood early bird, now night owl
  • Favourite takeaway? → Anything easy on a busy night!
  • One word Tim would use to describe you? → Diligent (from the horse’s mouth)

What does it mean to you to be part of your clients’ financial journey?
It’s really wonderful. We’re helping people navigate important decisions in their lives, and being part of that—behind the scenes or otherwise—is something I don’t take lightly.

What would you say to someone considering working with Moore Financial Advice?
That we genuinely care. We want things to be simple, clear, and well looked after—and we’re with you every step of the way.

A Team Effort

While Tim is often the face you see in meetings, Sara is the reason everything comes together behind the scenes.

Together, we’re proud to offer a service that’s not just professional—but personal.

And that’s exactly how we think financial advice should feel.
